Thomas Juul-Jensen (b. 1987)

“Roma No Comment 3”, 2021. Signed monogram. Charcoal on paper. Sheet size 100×70 cm.

The Danish artist Thomas Juul-Jensen (b. 1987) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. He uses both charcoal, chalk, oil, and watercolor in his works, together and separately, which gives the works depth and each a unique character. Juul-Jensen is interested in the sharpness of his art and at the same time tries to let chance play into the works. The subjects are depicted alone or together with other figures in unintended spaces. Juul-Jensen as an artist is not interested in the big idea, religion, or politics. Instead, sexual undertones can be sensed in several of the works. Represented at Jacob Bjorn Gallery.
